A lot of shops treat aluminum projects with less dedication than needed — the same crew, the same settings, just a different metal on the table. That approach shows up later as warping, porosity, or welds that look fine and fail early. Aluminum has a different thermal profile than steel, conducts heat much faster, and requires its own filler materials, shielding gas, and technique to get a clean, strong result. We run our aluminum work with welders and processes dedicated to the material, using TIG and MIG welding suited to the thickness, alloy, and application in front of us.
That distinction matters most in South Florida, where aluminum is used for a variety of applications — including marine hardware, coastal railings, dock structures, and storm protection — because salt air and humidity punish other materials. Aluminum resists corrosion far better than steel when it's done right. Done wrong, it fails faster than people expect.
